Heywood Update… New Baby Girl…

Filed under: Heywood — Jeff @ 1:34 am

From Amy!

Hello everyone,
We got home from the hospital today. Here are some pictures of Kendall. Thank you Kel for sending everyone a sneak peak of her!! She weighed 7 pounds, 11 1/2 oz, 20 inches long, 13 1/2 inch head. She is much smaller than Baylee was when she was born. She spent the first night nursing for 6 hours straight and if she wasen’t nursing, she was crying!! We were worried she would stay that way, but to our delight, she is now a content baby and she only cries when we are changing her diaper or when she is hungry. Baylee seems to love having her close by. We will be sending more pictures. To anyone who came to see us on Wednesday, I barely remember that day, and I am not kidding at all. I only have faint memories of Wednesday because of the morphine that they gave me, but I do remember her entire birth. I was scared to death, but the surgery went good and my mom was able to be there with Kenny and I which was very special. Kendall now completes our family. Thank you to everyone for all your well wishes. We love you. Amy, Kenny, Baylee & Kendall

July Updates

I’m still running about every 3 months for updates, so I guess that’s better than nothing. Besides the obvious news of Matthew’s birth, a lot has happened this month. Sydney turned 7 on July 6th. We had a small party at Gunther Toody’s. Her official party got cancelled due to 58 degree weather, which does not make for a nice poool party, however, it was rescheduled for the next weekend where it promptly got up to 100 degrees. Love that Rocky Mountain weather! Allie’s softball team won the Babe Ruth SE Denver Championship. They were really spectactular as they went undefeated all year. Allie has shown quite an interest in pitching, so we have her in lessons now. Summer softball starts in a couple of weeks, so we’ll be off and running again. Savannah has been enjoying the summer with a few trips to Elitches. She also participated in her friend’s Quinceanera (click on the that to learn more). Here are some miscellaneous pictures from June and July. More to come soon!
