Was a great Thanksgiving - went to Lynne’s for dinner.  We ate and ate and ate.  Kjerstin and Tommy started the kids on a great little craft.  Brandon and Julia enjoyed Nikkoel’s company a lot.  Lynne and Tim made a great turkey dinner, overall we had a lot of fun…  Kids stayed up just a bit to late (almost 2 hours past their bed time!  When we were driving home that night we saw people starting to line up for Black Friday!  Crazy crazy people, I might have been one of them but this remodel is all I get…

Well Mom and Dad have added a new baby to the family!  Lollypop born noon on 11/19

This is a great picture of everyone - there are more online that she sent in an e-mail, send her one and she will show you how to access.  Everyone looks excited for Christmas (they must not know I canceled it (see previous posts)).

   Well we had two offerings of friendship soup today.  The kids pre-school made soup with a little donation from each child, they got to cut it up and cook it.  Julia had a lot of fun it seemed and Big Brother Steve came to Brandon’s time

Yesterday, Melanie went on a wine tasting bus with some of her friends so we decided to give the Mark’s Family a call (Those Girls - Emily and Hanna)…

We decided to go to Uvas County Park there is a 1 mile trail there with some little waterfalls and a lot of bridges. 

The kids had a great time, seems like a real nice little park with plenty of trails and seems like you could even do some tent camping there.    Was a bit nervous with some of the steep inclines and Julia deciding she needed to find every little rock and apple to throw over the side…

Brandon ended up getting a tick (or a “stick” as Julia ended up calling it at the end of the day). 

We went and then played a little bit of GHIII and bowling on TV at their house. 

Was a very fun day all in all we will have to take Mommy out with us hiking next time!

Well the title says it all…  Tile work is done kids can run on it now, it has been a month plus since they have been able to walk freely downstairs.

The electrical team is doing the upstairs (adding some lights, updating our 2 prong outlets, etc…), the week after Thanksgiving we start our painting upstairs.  Things are moving along pretty good actually.  Need to decide on carpet for the “Rec Room” (Melanie didn’t like my ideas, so she is going to solicit Pat’s input) and then install the rest of the flooring on the bottom level (have the stuff just need to schedule).

Melanie’s Birthday was yesterday, so we went out to Kobe, and then had a birthday cake (all chocolate from Aki’s ).  Julia and Brandon gave her a new Barbie (Cinderella), she is going to go get new walking shoes…

They should be done with tile here in a bit - then tomorrow grout.  Then Thursday all things being equal we should have our floor back.

Our wedding anniversary is today :)  I am trying to find the pictures to post a quick one of our wedding but might need to go to back up - I need to scan the old pictures

Ok everyone there is some more work going on as I write this.

Tile is starting.  They are laying the cement down today and then Monday the tile starts…

Then we had the downstairs painted - this is the rec room, you can see our “accent” wall and then our base color is the cream (or whatever it is beige etc…).  The electrician is finishing up there today and some other minor wiring.  Then next step is flooring downstairs - Berber in the rec room, linoleum in the laundry and bathroom, and laminate in the hallway.  Then downstairs will be “finished”.

Hopefully electricians can start on the upstairs then we follow that up with paint and flooring, etc… Then move to mid level …  Still a long ways to go but it is getting there.
